Google Drive 1.15.6464.0228

http://www.technobuffalo.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/google-drive-logo_11.jpgSimilar to Dropbox, Google Drive facilitates a file storage and synchronization service across multiple platforms, allowing users to seamlessly access important data from any location. It also offers support for Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.

The program becomes usable through a Gmail account. It creates a Google Drive directory on your computer and automatically shares all files and folders you save there. In order to access them from a web browser, you simply go to drive.google.com.

As far as initial setup is concerned, it is possible to choose the folder location, synchronize only selected folders, enable the tool's autolaunch at system startup, and use proxies if required.

The program creates an icon in the system tray area, where you can open the Google Drive directory or visit it online. The free version offers users 15GB of free space, while the paid edition allows up to 16TB. The maximum supported file size is 10GB, and there is no limit when it comes to the traffic speed.

Google Drive has minimal impact on system resources and good speed regarding file uploading. Unfortunately, it does not offer support for remote or FTP uploading. Nevertheless, the application provides users with user-friendly and powerful features, making it a top product among file hosting services.

Microsoft OneDrive 2013 Build 17.0.4035.0328

If you’re looking for an easy and fast way to share files across multiple devices such as PCs, tablets and mobile phones, then you might want to consider Microsoft OneDrive.

Once installed on your PC, this application enables you to upload files of all formats and sizes to the cloud system. They remain there and become accessible from any device that allows you to connect to your SkyDrive account.

The application creates a “SkyDrive” folder on the computer which you can access just like any other folder. To add files you can use simple drag and drop actions or the classic copy paste approach.

Any files that are dropped into the SkyDrive folder are automatically uploaded to your cloud storage account and synchronized across all your devices that have Microsoft OneDrive installed. The application even displays a small “check” on the files that are successfully transferred.

Depending on the file size and your Internet connection, the duration of an upload can vary, as you would expect. Once the content is in the cloud, you can access it from virtually anywhere and share it with anyone via email or direct link.

Of course, the devices you wish to access your files from need to have SkyDrive installed but since the installation itself takes a matter of seconds, you could definitely consider Microsoft OneDrive as an on the fly solution. Instead of carrying a USB or external storage drive with you, why not use something that is virtually impossible to lose or damage.

Microsoft OneDrive runs hidden in the system tray and with a simple right-click you can open your SkyDrive folder, manage your online storage and access its settings.

The concept of Microsoft OneDrive is simplicity and efficiency. You can notice this by accessing the settings section of the app. Apart from the options to choose the folders you want to sync, run the application at Windows startup and let Microsoft OneDrive fetch any files from the currently used PC, there aren’t many other.

In closing, Microsoft OneDrive is a reliable and easy to use application that can definitely help you work more efficient and safe.

Dropbox 2.6.29

http://cdn-static.zdnet.com/i/story/60/19/010476/dropbox-ogrady.png
Dropbox is a software that enables you to share files and folders across the online platform, by synchronizing them with your offline storage.

In order to start using Dropbox, you must create an account. You can either set the tool to sync all the folders in your Dropbox, or you can use "Selective Sync" to choose particular ones.

Basically, Dropbox installs a folder on your computer in which you can copy or move data to share online. This means that if you want to access your Dropbox files from another location, simply log in with your username and password.

You can view, download or upload contents directly in the web browser if you don't have the Dropbox application installed on the computer.

Of course, if you want, for example, to download your files shared on Dropbox from another computer, the job will be much easier and faster if Dropbox is installed on that particular computer.

In the online browser you can search for files and folders in your Dropbox, create a new folder, view deleted files and events (similar to a log file), send invitations to your friends, and more.

In the 'Preferences' menu, you can disable desktop notifications and the LAN sync, unlink the computer to the current account to add a different one, set the download and upload rate, configure proxy settings, input the Dropbox location, change the interface language, and more.

The program uses a moderate amount of system resources and includes a very comprehensive documentation, oriented towards helping users get around.

The bottom line is that Dropbox provides one of the simplest solutions for sharing data online and we strongly recommend it to all users.

For fast File transfer on Phone

Using a Bluetooth for transferring a file of space of more than 20 MB may take hours and this mode of file transfer is not advisable for average users. Well for android users there are some apps for transferring files containing large size. Mainly I recommend "Fast File Transfer" which is an app in google playstore. It has a speed of 1.5-5 Mb/s(where average bluetooth speed is 35-55 Kb/s on my testing). And another app is "Flash Transfer" which is also available on google playstore. You can also use wifi direct (if you have one or if not with you ,app is available on playstore).

For downloading 'Fast File Transfer' click on the given link below

Samsung PC Studio 7.2.24.9

Samsung is one of the top 5 mobile phone manufactures in the world. It sold 235 million handsets in 2009 and 280 million in 2010. Rest assured that not all of these mobile phones are smartphones and, as any respectable manufacturer, Samsung has developed management applications for users owning GSM mobile phones.

No matter if you want to synchronize contacts, calendar items or emails, transfer files or back up your data and even create and send text messages, Samsung PC Studio is the official program to use. It supports synchronization with most email clients out there, including Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes and Lotus Organizer, so it allows you to easily transfer your contacts between mobile phone and computer.

Samsung PC Studio is also a great and handy tool if you intend to install Java or Symbian apps on your phone. Just drag and drop the file you wish to copy on your handset and you’re ready to go. You can also rip audio CDs, create music files and copy music files directly on your mobile phone within a few clicks.

Unfortunately, the interface lacks the ease-of-use by laying icons in front of your eyes with no descriptive text. That expands the time span needed to get familiar with the application and this brings nothing but frustration from the user's point of view. All functions are also listed under the “File” menu, but still, this isn’t the best interface a phone manager could receive.

Just like many other mobile phone suites out there, Samsung’s lets you connect the device to your PC using an USB cable, an infrared port, Bluetooth or a serial cable. You can easily create backups of your phone's data for safe keeping or to transfer it to another phone, connect your PC to the Internet using your handset, play and convert multimedia files and also create wallpapers for your Samsung phone.

Samsung PC Studio's Settings window refer to `Automatic conversion options` and Audio / Video conversion formats. You can choose from AAC and M4A as the default audio format and High / Medium or Low quality MP4 container files for the video side.

While not being the perfect app overall, Samsung PC Studio takes the edge off its competitors by providing the complete set of tools needed for the job. Nonetheless, if you are the owner of a Samsung GSM mobile phone, then this is a must-have.
